As a working woman who traveled, Dominique couldn’t join many of the moms groups and share her experiences in person with other moms-to-be. Were they going through the same thing? How were they dealing with morning sickness? Did they feel lonely? How were they wading through information on medications, products and tips that were so confusing?

Chris felt women shouldn’t have to go through such a profound experience with so many questions and lack of support. He was struck by an idea to move everything into visual form, anchored by a full-length documentary detailing the process. 40 Weeks was conceived.
